SEDCO III is concluded and by all accounts was a success and met the "Fellowship for DX and Contesting theme with a flavor of youth in our hobby".
We offer our sincere thanks to all the speakers who came at their own expense to give back to our hobby. They are the very best in their area, and everyone truly enjoyed their presentations. We also thank our sponsors, including prize donors who contribute greatly to this convention, but we can all agree it's those attending who make SEDCO a success. The attendance has steadily increased, and this encourages us to continue with SEDCO IV.
THEREFORE WE PRESENT SEDCO IV!
SEDCO IV is called for 27, Sept 2008 at the MainStay Conference Center, Pigeon Forge, TN.
We have ALL the facility, including the large conference room and 85 rooms blocked for Friday 26th and Sat 27th. The conference will have a full program on DX and Contesting, nice prizes and raffles. All proceeds from raffles will be re-invested in our hobby in the form of donations to DXpeditions, organizations which sponsor or support DXpeditions, contesting groups and printing of the Uncle DX suggested rules for DX pile-ups.
PLUS we will once again have a Damon's catered dinner Sat evening. We are working on a speaker/breakfast on Sunday, but not there yet!
Again we appreciate all those attending this year, our super speakers, the
prize/raffle donors, sponsors and the MainStay. A special thanks to N4AA, W4NZ, K4PZT, and K4SV for their leadership and being a key part of the SEDCO team. It will be even better in 2008.
